Thomas F. O’Brien, CPA
Tom is the Founding Principal of O’Brien CFO Advisory Services. We focus on partnering with privately-held and family-owned businesses to give them progressive quality strategic advisory and business services.
Tom is adept at working with clients in many industries, such as agriculture, wholesale (B2B), real estate, law firms, hospitality, media, and technology. Tom’s success is attributed to an innate ability to identify financial trends in “real time.” This skill set allows Tom to assist clients in creating dynamic strategies and to effectively plan their business objectives.
In addition to his many years of experience in the CPA practice world, Tom’s long-time real-world engagement with Oracle Consulting’s ERP data management systems gives him an operational management perspective which is rare in the Advisory arena. Tom graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and from San Diego State with a Master’s in Accounting. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs.
